If this does not resolve the problem, there may be a problem with the internal microphone. DO NOT use a pin or probe to try and clear it as it may damage the microphone which is directly behind the hole. If it is (or even if you can't tell) try using a vacuum cleaner to clear the obstruction.
Use a strong light and a magnifying glass to check if it may be blocked. If you can be heard when using the external microphone, then it indicates that there may be a problem with the phone's internal microphone OR perhaps the voice inlet hole, located on the bottom edge of the phone may be being obstructed by lint etc.
If the call is still there and you cannot be heard try using the earphones with the microphone attachment on a call and check whether you can be heard OK for the duration of the call. Just clarifying that the call is still connected but you cannot be heard by the other end, not that the call has dropped out completely and you have to make / receive a new call.
